2 x Copper Tongue Scraper

Overnight, as the body processes everything that was ingested that day, toxins (called ama in Ayuveda) begin to form, and are visible as a coating on the tongue. Scraping the coating off first thing in the morning prevents reabsorption of the toxins that your body worked so hard to expel.

Tonge scraping improves your breath, it cleans away that gross buildup, it can benefit your overall health, improve your taste and lessen your risk of dental decay.

We use a copper tongue scraper first thing in the morning, before eating, drinking or brushing teeth - and last thing at night. This is a non negotiable in our house!

Gently scrape the tongue back to front for 7 to 14 strokes. Rinse the tongue scraper between strokes if there is a lot of plaque accumulation. Scrape until no more plaque is visible on the tongue.

Top tip. Clean it and it should last a lifetime!

  1. Pour vinegar and salt into a pan and bring the boil. You’ll need approximately a 3 parts salt to one part salt.

  2. Place the tongue scraper into the bowl and leave for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Then use an old cloth to remove and dirt or tarnishing.

  4. Rinse the tongue scraper in water.

  5. Polish up with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
