Get To Know Me

I am a 90's baby and am from the beautiful town of Tunbridge Wells in Kent. I spent the majority of my childhood in musical theatre; performing in the west end at the ripe age of 9 and doing numerous unusual jobs. At 18 I had attained my A Levels so took a gap year where I worked as a nanny and went Greek island hopping. Following that I spent four years at university in Oxford gaining my Bsc Hons in International Hospitality Management, which is where my interest in food and health began to flourish. Upon leaving Oxford I have worked abroad in Croatia, spent time travelling and worked in marketing.

Why yoga?

I'd practised yoga intermittently since my teens, but never stuck at it long enough to get the most out of it. To be honest, after University I felt a little lost and without acknowledging it at the time, yoga came into my life when I needed it most. Having always been a gym bunny, I honestly didn't think yoga was for me, but as I practised more and went to various classes I was surprised to find it a sweaty workout which always tested my physical and mental strength. It has now come to shape my attitude and mindset in everyday life, weaving it’s way into my overall wellbeing and greatly enhancing my relationships with others and also with myself.

I flew to Morocco in January 2017 to complete my teacher training where I was lucky to meet beautiful people and learn incredible amounts. That was just the start.

Everyday I discover more; learning and re-learning the practises, letting them flow off the mat and into my life. Teaching me to live with intention, fluidity, love, growth and most importantly to be grateful for that that I have, that which I don’t, grateful for this earth... grateful for evolution and the impermanence of life. Teaching this is my main goal and although it may appear mostly physical because of course I teach asana, yoga is so so much more.

Get out of your head and into your heart. Think less. Feel more.
